Fifteen of the twenty poorest cities in Spain are in Andalusia

The Tax Agency published this Wednesday the statistics of personal income tax filers by municipalities with more than 1,000 inhabitants, which “offers an overall perspective of the average gross personal income in each locality, as well as an estimate of disposable income”.

Andalusiabeing the community with the most inhabitants, is classified as the second with the Lowest average gross income in Spainaccording to data provided by the Tax Agency. The first community with the lowest average gross income in 2022 was Extremadura. In total, in 2022, the average gross income in Spain amounted to 30,400 euros

Of the 20 municipalities with lower average gross income declared in Spain, fifteen are from Andalusia. Among these fifteen, six are from Grenade And five of Jaen. Four municipalities of Malaga, Seville, Cordoba And Cadiz They complete the list of the poorest municipalities in the Andalusian community. The remaining five municipalities with the lowest income are all from Extremadura, four from Badajo and one from Cáceres.

According to data provided by the Tax Agency corresponding to the 2022 financial year Huesa (Jaén) appears as the municipality of lower income from Spain, with an average gross income of 13,658 euros.

At the other end of the list is Benahavís (Málaga)which is located as the Andalusian municipality of higher average gross income declared, Tomares follows (Seville) which is positioned in 85th place among the municipalities with the highest average gross income in Spain.
