Collision of two trams leaves nine injured in Valencia

Nine Metrovalencia passengers were slightly injured this Thursday after collide with two trams of line 4 in the commune of Burjassot.

The health services assisted nine people, five of whom were transferred to the Arnau Hospital in Vilanova due to whiplash and bruises.

The events occurred around ten thirty in the morning, at the La Granja stop. One of the trains was stopped due to a breakdown when the second, which was also traveling towards Valencia, collided with it.

Railway sources from the Generalitat Valenciana explain that this unit – in which the wounded were traveling – gave a brakingbut he could not avoid “a small reach”.

The Emergency Information and Coordination Center (CICU) mobilized a basic life support unit and a conventional ambulance to the scene.
