Uzbekistan Airways has been operating flights since October 2, bypassing Iraq and parts of Iran. This was reported by the airline’s press service.
“To ensure the safety of flights of civil aircraft, starting from October 2, 2024, Uzbekistan Airways announces the operation of scheduled flights, taking into account flights over the airspace of Iraq and the western part of the airspace of Iran until further notice. “ – says the company information.
The press service added that the decision was made in accordance with the instructions of the Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic.
The company also reported that it will continue to operate regular flights on the Tashkent – Tel Aviv – Samarkand/Tashkent route, using alternative routes to ensure maximum flight safety.
On October 1, the departure of Uzbekistan Airways Boeing 767 flight HY304 Tel Aviv – Samarkand – Tashkent was forced to be delayed due to the worsening situation in the Middle East and the closure of part of the airspace.
