Ayuso accuses the government of wanting to “poison and persecute” owners who do not want to rent their apartment

The housing situation in the Community of Madrid was at the center of the monitoring session of the plenary session of the Regional Assembly. The general secretary of the PSOE in Madrid, Juan Lobato, accused the government of Isabel Díaz Ayuso of “boycotting the Spanish government’s housing law.” The socialist leader assures that this measure prevents municipalities and families from “being able to temporarily limit the increase in rents”.

In his speech to the president of Madrid, Lobato mapped the housing situation in the region. The opponent assured that “in Madrid, rent prices are higher than anywhere in Spain”. In the same sense, he accused the Executive of having “increased the price of social housing by 60%” and of having “promised” to build “25,000 housing units and of not having delivered even 500 in five years “.

For Lobato, young people are the main victims of the housing situation in the region. As he detailed, “80% of those under 30 cannot be emancipated in Madrid” and he also regretted that they “have to devote 60% of their salary to access to housing.” Another problem that he highlighted is the management of the rent bonus for young people in the autonomy because, as he pointed out, “it takes more than a year to pay young people who need money now “.

The regional president accused Lobato of “lying” by proposing his intervention. “Haven’t the price of housing increased in all cities in Spain? Isn’t it true that if we compare the price of Madrid with that of other major world capitals, they are by no means the same prices?” he asked.

Before starting to attack the policies of the central executive, Ayuso believes that to buy a house or pay rent, “the first thing you need is a quality job” that the government of Pedro Sánchez “refuses to the great majority of young people. which he speaks of.

“Now what they want is to confront the tenants with the owners,” added the president, who believes that the left emphasizes that “all those who have housing are rich suspects who must be pursued and intervened in the apartment”. The president of the Community of Madrid defends that “middle-class owners who refuse to pay the rent dictated by Sanchism will be poisoned and persecuted on neighborhood banners.”

Madrid questions PP’s conciliation policy

Ayuso has repeatedly attacked the housing law and the possibility of controlling rent increases. “We cannot limit the price of housing because it does not work (look at the data) and because it is an attack on property,” he also said a few weeks ago.

For his part, Más Madrid focused his interrogation on questioning the conciliation measures of the Ayuso government. “The PP does not have a family policy because it does not develop the necessary measures to have one: time and housing,” replied Manuela Bergerot.

The regional president took advantage of this issue to take advantage of the “increase” in the number of births in the community and to link, once again, the “Bolivarian Republics” to the left-wing parties. In fact, he began his speech by congratulating Más Madrid on Christmas after the President of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro brought forward these holidays to the month of October. “Christian Christmas has already begun. Congratulations, friends of dictatorships,” Ayuso mocked to the laughter of his bench.
