The Vice-President of the Valencian Government and responsible for Housing in the Executive of Carlos Mazón, Susana Camarerowarned this Thursday that The Catalan quota can cost 165 million euros in housing. And this figure “is not a number”, but a total of 16,764 families that the Spanish government “leaves without help”. A figure which is clarified “in 10,500 people having benefited from housing assistance, 5,700 benefiting from the Youth Bonus, 410 young people having obtained assistance with the purchase of housing or even 154 people in a vulnerable situation”, as also explained by Susana Camarero.

The Valencian vice-president spoke in these terms before her participation in the Housing Sector Conference convened by the ministry, headed by Isabel Rodríguez. A forum in which extremely important issues such as the National Housing Plan or the Youth Bonus were put on the table.

Susana Camarero regretted that the government “acts with threats to try to save a bankrupt executive” instead of “making proposals and looking for solutions”. And he warned that heThe housing law is “optional” And that in fact, no Autonomy applies it “except Catalonia”. So, as he explained: “It’s not a question of parties, but of effective policies.”

Faced with this, Susana Camarero emphasized that the Autonomous Communities implement housing policies “that really work” to create more housing and reduce prices.

And he also explained that in the case of Valencian Communitythis is done through what is called Live package. The waiter remembered The ministry “has no competence in housing”beyond the distribution of funds to the authorities to guarantee this constitutional right to citizens. Along the same lines, Susana Camarero asked herself: “if the Government takes money from Communities that are doing things well, what good is it if it emptied itself of its functions?

In this context, Susana Camarero explained that the Catalan quota “could cost us 165 million euros in terms of housing.” An amount of which he emphasized that “It is not a number, but 16,764 families that the Government leaves without help“.

And he reiterated that what the Valencian Government will demand from the Spanish Government is that the Housing Plan meets “objective, fair and equitable” criteria. As is the case with “population criterion» which, in the opinion of the Valencian vice-president, “gives legal certainty and the guarantee of the necessary objectivity when distributing funds” to the Autonomies.

The Generalitat Valenciana also joined the joint declaration published and signed by the governments of 12 of the 17 autonomous communities in which these communities They demand non-intervention on prices and regional powers. And also the equitable distribution of public resources.
