Police have arrested a Neapolitan Camorra fugitive in Ibiza for drug trafficking and extortion. Concretely, it was agents of the UDYCO of the National Police Station, in coordination with the Central Operational Service of the Polizia Di Stato of Italy, who carried out the arrest of a 32-year-old man of Italian origin, who was wanted by the Italian authorities.
The young man had a European arrest warrant issued by the Italian authorities, following the commission in that country of several crimes linked to drug trafficking and extortion.
The arrest took place yesterday September 30 when after carrying out the corresponding police investigations, it turned out that this person She was based on the island of Ibizaresiding in the central area of the capital of Ibiza, where he was located.
This individual would have been part of a camorra clan called Mazzarella and he had also served time in Spain for drug trafficking.
Once all the steps were completed by the investigators, the detainee was handed over to the Police Court.
It should be remembered that the Italian police launched an operation against dozens of people linked to the clan in December 2022. Mazzarella of the Camorra, for forcing them to pay the pizza -or mafia extortion- to traders in the center of Naples (south), who were even beaten in public for refusing.

Following checks carried out on the various vehicles, various narcotic substances were seized and the agents drew up 13 drug reports, proposing sanctions against the transporters. Likewise, they prepared two weapons reports, including a machete.
