Carlos Alcaraz has experienced a frenetic 24 hours since playing the ATP 500 final in Beijing against Jannik Sinner.
The Murcian returned, lifted the trophy and went straight to the airport to take a private plane with the Italian to Shanghai.
During the press conference preceding the Masters 1000, the new world number 2 was asked about his relationship with number 1.
“We don’t talk much when we’re here, but we get along really well off the field as well. We respect each other a lot as players and as people,” Carlitos began.
Alcaraz assures that he “a good relationship” with Sinner, even if they are not “best friends.”
“When we travel or attend tournaments, we are with our teams, so we don’t talk much. When we can, we talk about things outside of tennis, about life, but not too much“, he settled.
