The next judicial review of the criminal case related to the explosion that took place on the territory of OJSC “Baku Wood Processing” in the Binagadi district of Baku was carried out.

The wife of Elvin Rustamov, who lost his life during the explosion, highlighted during her testimony that her husband worked in the wood cutting process at that plant. After he lost his life, his family faced great hardships. They have serious financial problems because they live on rent. The victim’s representative also said that after the death of his wife, the relatives of businessman Taghi Ibrahimov helped him with 5,000 manats. However, he asked the accused Taghi Ibrahimov to provide his family with a house.
Solmaz Abbasova’s son Tural Hasanov, another of the victims, said he has not yet recovered from the shock.
“My mother worked in the sewing workshop in that factory building. I don’t know exactly where she worked. I found out about the incident when I arrived at her workplace. I called my mother that day. After the end of work, my mother did not “He came home and I was worried. Then I found out what happened at the explosion site.”
The next court session is scheduled for October 22.
It should be noted that the current owner of OJSC, Taghi Ibrahimov, born in 1962, and Togrul Rzayev, born in 1992, who carries out the administrative and economic management of OJSC, are the persons entrusted with the duty to observe the rules of fire safety. , 10 people died and 23 were injured due to its negligent violation, in addition to causing other serious consequences by causing material damage to property and nature on the territory of OJSC, as well as Tagi Ibrahimov’s evasion of paying a large amount of taxes. Based on the evidence collected, Taghi Ibrahimova was charged with articles 213.3 (especially evasion from paying large amounts of taxes) and 225.3 (when violation of these rules by a person entrusted with the duty of observing fire safety rules caused the death of two or more people due to negligence) of the Criminal Code, and Togrul Rzayev a final indictment was announced under article 225.3 of the same code, both were remanded in custody by decision of the court based on the investigator’s request and the prosecutor’s presentation. who carried out the procedural management of the preliminary investigation.
