The target of the attack in Beirut, which Israel carried out on Friday night, was the probable successor and cousin of the late Hezbollah Secretary General, Hassan Nasrallah, reports a journalist from the Axios portal, citing Israeli officials.
“The target of the Israeli attack on Beirut was a senior Hezbollah leader. Hashim Safi ad-Dinwho was the probable successor of Hassan Nasrullah”, – says the message.
Previously, the New York Times wrote that Hashim Safi ad-Din could become the new leader of Hezbollah following the death of his cousin, the organization’s secretary general, Hassan Nasrallah.
