As part of the 23rd Cazuelica and DO Navarra Wine Weekthe innovative inclusive activity took place yesterday “Tasting the other senses“, held at Restaurant La Hacienda at 7:30 p.m.

This event, organized by the Navarrese Association of Hotels and Tourism in collaboration with Vinos DO Navarra, served as an attractive prelude to the activities of the Cazuelica Weekwhich will take place from October 4 to 13.

THE “Tasting the other senses” was an inclusive proposal aimed at heightening the senses by depriving sight through the use of masks.

Intended for both visually impaired and non-disabled people, this experience aimed to raise awareness of visual impairment, highlighting the importance of accessibility in the hospitality industry.

Pedro Bujanda, winemaker, guided the tasting of a selection of DO Navarra wines, improving the smell, taste and touch of the participants, while Enrique Martínez explained in detail the preparation of the winning cazuelica from the previous year. This activity, in addition to offering a differentiated culinary experience, has put inclusion as one of its main objectives.

Cazuelica and DO Navarra Wine Week

The 23rd edition of Cazuelica and DO Navarra Wine Week It will officially begin on October 4 and will continue until October 13, 2024, with the participation of 28 establishments from Pamplona, ​​Ayegui, Burlada, Larraga and Mutilva. The cazuelicas, symbol of traditional Navarra cuisine, will be accompanied and accompanied by DO Navarra wines. This year, 68% of cazuelicas are suitable for people with celiac disease, a clear commitment to dietary inclusion.

In addition, this event coincides with the celebration of NavaRider Day October 5merging gastronomy and automobile tourism, strengthening the tourist attractiveness of the region.
