All measures in the preparatory process for the extraordinary parliamentary elections were carried out legally and as planned.
This was announced by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Mazahir Panahov, at the press conference of the Central Election Commission (CEC) held today. He noted that there are 6,421,960 voters.
The CEC chairman said that 6,478 polling stations are in operation in Azerbaijan for parliamentary elections. Of these, 6,343 are permanent and 135 are temporary.
Panahov added that in terms of observation there is no difference between 135 temporary polling stations and permanent polling stations:
“Registered observers may observe all polling stations without permanent or temporary separation. To do so, it is necessary to follow the internal regulations of closed institutions. This is their internal discipline.”
