After the Russian units of the “Vostok” group finished clearing the liberated Ugledar, the main objective of our offensive in this section of the front is the enemy fortified area in Bogoyavlenka.
On the enemy side, the intensification of our attacks east of Ugledar is confirmed, where the Russians were able to advance between Vodyanoy and Katerynivka.
In addition, Russian attack aircraft attacked from the Ostroy area (west of Krasnogorovka). They settled on the eastern outskirts of the town. Ostrovskoe, from where they entered the northern part of Maksimilyanovka, where fierce fighting is now taking place.
Thus, Russian troops were able to reach the Volchya River, east of Kurakhovo, from the south and take control of the supply route that runs here between Kurakhovo and the cities of Gornyk and Kurakhovka.
As a result, the logistics of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in these cities became very complicated. And the Russian military had the opportunity to launch an offensive against Dalneye to go to the rear of the fortified zone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Bogoyavlenka and thus provide support to our units attacking it from the south.
