Morata and Cubarsí return to the Spanish team and Samu Omorodion is excluded from Luis de la Fuente’s list

Luis de la Fuente announced this Friday morning the list of the Spanish team for the next two matches of the League of Nations. In a list including new features, some obligatory and others due to sporting criteria, the absence of Samu Omorodion, one of the players who are performing best at the start of the season.

This is a fairly continuous list from the Spanish coach. De la Fuente continues to trust his core, so men like Laporte, Carvajal, Cucurella, Fabián Ruiz, Pedri, Álvaro Morata, Lamine or Nico Williams remain indisputable.

Those returning to the national team after their absence from the latest list are names like Morata or Pau Cubarsi. The striker was excluded from the latest call-up due to the punishment he had to serve after shouting “Gibraltar, Spanish” during the Euro Cup celebration. The defender, for his part, well established at Barça, will continue to gain international experience.

The list was marked by the losses that Luis de la Fuente would have to make up for. One of them focused on right-back, since Carvajal will not be able to play in the first match and Jesús Navas is no longer eligible. Pedro Porro and Oscar Mingueza appear on the list.

The others who return to the call are Mikel Merino or Álex Baenawhich had already been appreciated by the coach on previous occasions. In this case, the absence of Rodri in midfield, surely the best Spanish footballer of the moment, conditions all the planning.

What is striking, however, is the absence of Samu Omorodion. The young striker, transferred this summer from Atlético de Madrid to Porto, is dazzling for the Portuguese team at the start of the season.

With his seven goals in six matches played so far, the 20-year-old striker was expected to get his first opportunity with the Absolute, but De la Fuente continues to rely on his trusted attackers and Omorodion will have to continue to wait. .
