The PP assures that the reform of the PSOE-Bildu Gag law “contempts” the police and warns that Feijóo will cancel it

The spokesperson for the PP, Borja Sémper, assured this Thursday that the “transfer” of the government of Pedro Sánchez to Bildu with the reform of the Citizen Security Law, known as the “Gag Law”, shows that “the governability of Spain depends, unfortunately, on Arnaldo Otegi”. After having assured that this reform “makes it easier to insult the police”“weakens authority” And “protect the violent”argued that if Alberto Núñez Feijóo arrives at the Moncloa Palace “he will reverse this absurdity”.

Concretely, the Bildu parliamentary group in Congress agreed with the government to reform this law to end the use of current rubber bullets by security forces, put an end to the “discretionary power” in imposing administrative sanctions for lack of respect for authority and disobedience and also present within six months a reform of the immigration law to put an end to what are called “hot returns” of migrants at the border.

In a video broadcast by the PP, Sémper said that Bildu became “spokesperson for the Government”, after his parliamentary spokesperson in Congress, Mertxe Aizpurua, announced this agreement at a press conference. Sémper accused the government of “entrusting” him with the design of citizen security policies. “It will be BilduThis is why a party which despises the police and the Civil Guard and which believes that ETA did well, the one who decides the security of all Spaniards” he said.

“The governance of Spain depends on Otegi”

The leader of the PP stressed that “entrusting Bildu with the legislative capacity of a country in terms of freedoms and citizen security is the line that the government of Pedro Sánchez had not yet crossed“. “We knew that without amnesty and without pardon, there would be neither inauguration nor legislature. Now we know that without releases and without transfers to Bildu either,” he said, adding that Sánchez does not think “neither about the security of the Spaniards, nor about the state security forces and bodies,” but rather “that he only thinks about ensuring his well-being” and “his stay at Moncloa even if for that he must give in and submit to the demands of Bildu”.

Sémper assured that this agreement confirms that “the governability of Spain, unfortunately, depends on Arnaldo Otegi“, “who became Sánchez’s spokesperson. “Bildu is part of this government, even if he does not sit in the Council of Ministers,” he added.

In addition, he recalled that this Wednesday they became aware of another of the effects of this “strong alliance between Sánchez and Bildu”after the release of “two terrorists who neither denied their past nor collaborated with justice, therefore they do not respect the law”, in reference to the granting of the third degree to ETA prisoners Harriet Iragi and Luis Mariñelarena .

“When we govern, we will reverse this nonsense”

Sémper said that, “while the Government tries to muzzle the media” with its regeneration plan, “makes it easier to insult the police”. “We are talking about a law that weakens authority, that protects the violent, that legitimizes Bildu and that leaves the state security forces and bodies defenseless in our streets and at our borders,” he said. declared.

For this reason, and after sending a message “support and affection” for state security forces and organs and to all Spanish families, confirmed that Feijóo would cancel this reform of the security law if he governs. “When we govern Spain, we will reverse this absurdity,” he concluded.
