A 35-year-old man, shot in the head in Puente de Vallecas, is in serious condition.

A man of about 35 years old turned out seriously injured after being shot in the head this morning in a street in Puente de Vallecas, a spokesperson for the capital’s Emergency Department informed Europa Press.

The events occurred around 4:35 a.m. in the Rafael Alberti Streetvery close to Albufera Avenue. Emergency services from Samur-Protection Civile went to the scene and treated the injured man, who had significant head trauma, for which he was transferred by ambulance to the hospital. Gregorio Marañón Hospital from Madrid, where he was admitted in serious condition.

The National Police took charge of the investigation and arrested the alleged perpetrator of the attack who left unconscious victim. The causes are unknown, but everything indicates that it was a fight resulting from the high level of alcohol they had at the time and which started in a bar.
