On October 5 and 6, a strong geomagnetic storm will occur on Earth due to strong flares in the active regions of the Sun.
From the Department of Astrophysics, Faculty of Physics, Baku State University (BSU). Oku.AzDue to increased solar activity, it is predicted that there will be M-class flares (R1-R2 – weakly blocking the propagation of minor radio waves) and at the same time X-class flares (R3 – strong).
Hurricanes in the Earth’s geomagnetic field began on October 4 at around 12 noon and will continue until October 6.
The geomagnetic storms that will occur most of the day on October 5-6 will be at the G3 (strong) level. The geomagnetic storm is expected to weaken and fall to the background level starting on October 6.
It should be remembered that it was previously reported that geomagnetic storms will cover October 4 and 5.
