New features include the long-awaited non-stop recording, as well as new options for interacting with your devices more effectively.

Uninterrupted recording: more control and security
One of the most anticipated features among Ring users is non-stop recording. Included in the Ring Home Premium plan, this feature allows wired cameras record continuously, even capture what happens outside of the usual movement zones. This provides broader, more detailed coverage of what’s happening in your home or business, helping to improve the security and control of your property.
Alerts with video preview
Another interesting new feature is the introduction of video preview alerts, available on all Ring Home plans: Basic, Standard and Premium. This feature offers a short video clip in the push notification the user receives, showing the event that triggered the motion alert. This way it is possible to immediately know if the activity requires your attention, without having to open the application. This allows for faster response, whether using the two-way communication feature or accessing live video.
Continuous, extensive live video: uninterrupted monitoring
Ring users were already able to access live video, but now with the new features, the experience is significantly improved. Extended live video, available on the Ring Home Standard Plan, Allows you to view the live stream for up to 30 minutes, which is ideal for situations where you want to monitor for a long time, for example when children are playing in the garden or if you want to monitor the behavior of pets.
On the other hand, the Ring Home Premium Plan offers the possibility of continuous live video, supplemented by uninterrupted recording, so users can see what is happening at any time, without time limits. This gives the feeling of being in two places at once, ideal for those seeking absolute control over their surroundings.
Ring calls to answer instantly
Another notable new feature, the ringtone function, included in Standard and Premium plans. Instead of receiving a simple push notification when someone rings the doorbell, the user receives a video call, allowing them to immediately answer and speak to the person via live video. This significantly improves interaction and security, providing a more agile and closer experience, as if it were a phone call.
New Ring Home plans
With the launch of these new features, Ring has also redesigned its subscription offering, renaming the popular Ring Protect service to Ring Home. This service offers three subscription levels: Home Basic (€3.99/month), Home Standard (€9.99/month) and Home Premium (€19.99/month), which allow users to choose the package that best suits their security and comfort needs, while maintaining the same price as before.
