Attempt to become the “goalkeeper of the Armenian national team”: Pashinyan’s “anecdote” at the UN

The following Caliber.Az video analysis is dedicated to Nikol Pashinyan’s speech at the UN General Assembly, which is baseless and designed to mislead the world community.

The author notes that the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, speaking from the rostrum of the 79th session of the UN, tried to convince the whole world that in the Armenian Constitution there are no territorial claims against Azerbaijan:

“Azerbaijan insists that the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia is an obstacle to the peace agreement, because it supposedly (yes, Pashinyan chose the expression “allegedly” – ed.) reflects territorial claims against Azerbaijan.

Without going into details, let me point out that there is no such thing in our Constitution, there is no territorial claim against Azerbaijan and we can provide detailed written evidence in this regard to all our interested international partners.

The author of the program highlights that the anecdote of the Armenian goalkeeper comes to mind here:

“A goal is scored on the goal he scores, but there is no way to prove it, even after seeing it on the VAR screen. However, let us return once again to the preamble of the Armenian Constitution, which contains a reference to the Declaration of Independence of Armenia There: “The Supreme Soviet of the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic and Based on the joint decision of the Nagorno-Karabakh National Council of December 1, 1989 “On the unification of the Armenian and Nagorno Soviet Socialist Republic -Karabakh”, realizing the right of peoples to self-determination…” is written.

As we have seen, Nikol Pashinyan, the “goalkeeper of the Armenian national team”, used the old method of the Armenians: to spin the word so that no one would come to check it.
