FIFA begins a new era in the transfer of footballers

The International Association of Football Federations (FIFA) has prepared a new transfer plan. Consequently, FIFA will introduce a new transfer window that will take effect from June 1 to 10, 2025.

Oku.Az informs that this 10-day transfer period, which is planned in addition to the current transfer period, will be valid only for teams participating in the Interclub World Championship to be held in the summer of 2025.

During this period, the possibility of contract extension or transfer to another team will be offered.

Although this FIFA decision applies only to the 32 teams that will participate in the tournament, continental federations can participate in this transfer period if they wish.

The reason for the implementation of this 10-day transfer period by world football is to ensure that the clubs participating in the tournament can adjust their squads and ensure the continuity of players whose contracts expire or will expire until the end of the tournament.

It should be noted that the tournament will be held in the United States from June 15 to July 13, 2025.
