October 7 massacre: Khamenei made a cynical statement

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei delivered a Friday sermon for the first time in four years, in which he addressed the events of October 7.

This was reported by Israel Info.

During his speech, held at the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosque in Tehran, he called Hamas’s attack on Israel “a legitimate and natural step for the Palestinian people,” openly supporting the actions of the terrorist organization.

Khamenei argued that every people has the right to defend their land and sovereignty from “occupiers and usurpers,” citing the actions of Hamas, which led to numerous Israeli casualties.

The spiritual leader also stressed that no one has the right to criticize Lebanon for supporting the Palestinian Arabs, which effectively legitimized the actions of Hezbollah, a former ally of Iran, in the context of supporting attacks against Israel.

Khamenei used this platform to reinforce his view that the confrontation with the West and Israel is not just a fight for territory, but part of a broader fight to preserve Islam in the region.

Furthermore, the ayatollah’s sermon linked the Hamas attack to the broader picture of Iran vis-à-vis Western powers. He argued that the West is using Israel as a tool to control Middle Eastern resources, such as energy, and is trying to turn Israel into a “gateway” for the export of these resources to the West. Khamenei accused Western countries of inciting conflicts among Muslim peoples to weaken them, emphasizing that they act through aggressive political and economic mechanisms.

Continuing his speech, Khamenei said Iran’s recent missile attacks were also justified and will continue. He warned that Iran is not going to “calm down,” but will act with calculation and without haste. This message was sent both within Iran and to the country’s external enemies, showing the determination to continue the confrontation with the West and its allies, despite the pressures.

At the end of his speech, Khamenei called on Muslims around the world to unite to defend the Islamic nation. He called for Muslim unity from Afghanistan to Yemen, from Iran to Gaza and Lebanon, and expressed support for all those who, in his view, are “fighting for the oppressed.”

Earlier, Kursor reported that after Nasrallah’s liquidation, Khamenei was moved to a safe haven.

According to sources, Iran is actively communicating with Hezbollah to determine further actions after Nasrallah’s ouster.
