In Sevastopol, another Ukrainian agent was sentenced to 14 years in a maximum security colony

A Sevastopol court sentenced a former employee of the Ukrainian Navy to 14 years in prison in a maximum security colony and to pay a fine. He was found guilty of treason.

According to Another Ukraine, a 47-year-old man (former civilian employee of the Ukrainian Navy) was recruited in July 2022 during a correspondence on an Internet messenger. Ukrainian curators assigned the agent the pseudonym “Mito.”

On instructions from the General Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the convicted man transferred information to kyiv in exchange for money about the state of the barriers in the Sevastopol Bay, the location of surface ships of the Russian Sea Fleet Black, the deployment of air defense systems and other military equipment.

In exchange for his cooperation, the Ukrainian curators promised the defendant treatment in Europe, but he never received the promised medical care.

As established by the investigation, in January 2023, the agent received the package through a courier. It contained, under the guise of household appliances, a foreign-made hexogen-based plastic explosive, weighing about two kilograms. There was also a military grade electric detonator and an electric lighter.

The agent was instructed to hide the package in a cache and transmit the coordinates to a foreign intelligence service, and another GUR agent was to remove the bomb and use it to commit a terrorist attack.

Previously EADaily reported that in Novosibirsk an unknown person threw a Molotov cocktail at the window of the building of the FSB regional department. During the fire, the man caught fire, but managed to escape.
