The pilot of the F18 that crashed near Teruel has died

Lieutenant Colonel Pablo Estrada Martín died this Friday in the accident of the F18 fighter he was piloting. The incident occurred in the surroundings of Teruel, near the municipality of Peralejos.

The death was confirmed by the Air Force. “We regret to inform you that the death of our colleague, Lieutenant Colonel Pablo Estrada Martín, assigned to the 12th Wing, has been confirmed in the F18 accident,” the Air Force said.

For the moment, the circumstances in which the accident occurred are not known.

The 12th Wing is based in Torrejón de Ardoz, Madrid, and has extensive experience in aerial combat assets. The F18 also serves in Wing 15 of Zaragoza and Wing 46 of Gando (Gran Canaria).
