Russian soldiers use Mariupol residents as human shields, setting up military warehouses in residential areas.

Residents of occupied Mariupol are forced to risk their lives because the Russian army has established a new base with an ammunition depot near their homes.

This is reported on Telegram by the advisor to the city mayor, Pyotr Andryushchenko.

“We saw another Russian repair base with a large ammunition depot and a transit parking lot,” he said. According to him, after the recent explosions in Melekino and Glubokoe, the occupants were forced to concentrate everything in one place.

“In order not to go into details and not to reveal unnecessary information, I can say that the base is located on the Taganrog highway, less than 100 meters from residential buildings, the human shield is still standing,” Andryushchenko added.

Previously, on September 11, explosions were heard in and around Mariupol, particularly in warehouses and occupiers’ positions. In Melekino, attacks were also reported on a warehouse located near a gas station and the former Scorpion store. Additionally, on October 4, a new explosion was heard in occupied Mariupol, which was also heard in Berdyansk and along the coast.

By the way, according to information from the Center for National Resistance, a transshipment center is being created in Mariupol for the export of goods stolen in Ukraine to Russia. It is also reported that construction of the Four Seasons agrocenter has begun in the city, which will become the main logistics center for the removal of stolen goods. The port of Mariupol has become a key point through which everything stolen in Ukraine passes. Since the beginning of 2024, more than 165 thousand tons of various goods have been exported, including Ukrainian crops and equipment from looted metallurgical enterprises.

Recall that Kursor wrote that analysts estimate that to completely expel Ukrainian forces from the Kursk region, the Russian Ministry of Defense will need 15 to 20 brigades, that is, about 50 thousand military personnel. However, the Kremlin does not currently have these resources and it is not possible to find sufficient reserves. Meanwhile, fighting in the region has continued since August 6, 2024.
