Drones spotted during Lukashenko’s flight over Belarus

During Alexander Lukashenko’s flight, drones were sighted over the territory of Belarus. This became known today, October 4, during a conversation between the Belarusian leader and the inhabitants of the agricultural city of Parokhonsk.

The President of Belarus was asked what was behind media reports, on the eve of his trip to Pinsky, that two drones had been seen in Belarusian airspace at the same time as the Head of State’s helicopter.

“Dismiss any insinuations about my helicopter, drones and other things: these are not my problems, they are the problems of the Security Service. Let them watch where the drones fly and where the president’s helicopter should fly. “I really feel that way.” – Lukashenko highlighted.

According to his words, when in the morning, before flying to the Pinsk region, they began to inform him about the situation and the weather, he demanded to discuss these issues directly with the pilots and make a decision together with them. As a result, it was decided to delay the flight by one hour due to unfavorable weather conditions.

“I saw that they were flying very low, unusually low. Probably so that it would not be visible from Ukraine by electronic means. Of course, they see a helicopter: it’s big, it’s not a drone. It arrived normally. Therefore, this does not particularly worry me, as people say. And then you know: shooting down the president’s helicopter is a war that the Ukrainians do not need. Therefore, I do not think that decision-makers in Ukraine are worried about this problem. Although, of course, what can I say, it’s unpleasant.” – Lukashenko admitted.

Speaking about the use of drones, the Belarusian leader noted that these weapons are no longer a new product. However, drones have not yet been used so massively as the main means of destruction. Lukashenko noted that Ukraine and Russia are purchasing a large number of unmanned aerial vehicles, but an equally important issue is learning to control them. Therefore, very often in inexperienced hands and after exposure to electronic warfare, drones lose their way. So, according to Lukashenko, the State, they flew to Belarus.

“There were several cases of this in both Russia and Ukraine. We knock down a lot. “We don’t pay attention to whether they are Russian or Ukrainian.” – he pointed out.

Lukashenko also said that in Belarus they began to solve these problems at the specialist level, without bringing them to the public sphere. Furthermore, said agreements “were reached with both parties.”

“Yesterday… I was even surprised when I received the information. It was our fugitives from abroad who began to drop information: drones flew to meet with the presidential junta. I think this is a dirty little trick, a provocation. We must understand that we are on the front: very close, behind the fence, a war is taking place. Therefore, my main task is to prevent Belarus from being dragged into this fight, into this war. Therefore, we react to this as specialists, we react in silence, but we make it clear that if, God forbid, something happens, we will have to respond. “There is something to answer.” – Lukashenko highlighted.

Recall that Lukashenko earlier said that drones from the Ukrainian and Russian sides are flying towards Belarus. According to him, the republic’s air defense forces shoot them down regardless of their origin.
