Caricaturist and Honored Artist of Russia Marina Voskanyants died at the age of 90. This was announced by the chief editor of the Soyuzmultfilm film studio, Sergei Kapkov, on his Telegram channel.
“Another Soyuzmultfilm legend, the incredible animator Marina Konstantinovna Voskanyants, passed away tonight.” – wrote.
“Her “calling card” is Masha’s brilliant dance with a broom around the New Year tree in the film “The Nutcracker” by Boris Stepantsev. – Kapkov added.
Marina Voskanyants was born on January 2, 1934 in Moscow, as a child she studied in the art studio of the Palace of Pioneers and in 1952 received the first prize as an artist for participating in an international exhibition in Delhi. In 1995 he graduated from the Moscow Art School and since 1956 he studied at Soyuzmultfilm animation courses.
He participated in the creation of such cartoons as “Big Trouble”, “Three Fat Men”, “Thumbelina”, “The Tale of the Golden Cockerel”, “Cinema, Movie, Movie”, “Bremen Musicians”, “On Earth of unlearned lessons”, “The Little Humpbacked Horse”, “The Blue Puppy”, “Three from Prostokvashino”, “The Magic Ring”, “The Secret of the Third Planet”, “Once Upon a Dog” And many, many others.
