“It’s the most serious thing after the law of ‘only yes means yes’. It’s disgusting”

The president of Aragon, Jorge Azcón, This Friday he attacked the agreement reached between EH Bildu and the executive of Pedro Sánchez on the Citizen Security Act, better known as the gag law. “I think that after the ‘only yes is yes’ law, the Bildu law for citizen insecurity is the most serious thing that the Spanish government is going to do,” he assured.

According to what the president of the PP-Aragon also declared, it was known until now that the seven votes of the Republican Left of Catalonia (ERC) had cost the Community a single amount of funding. “The six Bildu will represent the largest attack against the forces and security organs of the State andtherefore, to the safety of all citizens,” he expressed.

According to him, if the country is not able to provide resources to the police and the Civil Guard, it will be difficult to demand that they protect citizens. “The ignominy of agreeing with Bildu on a modification of the law on citizen security is perhaps the most serious thing that this government will do in the remaining months. It is very complicated to explain that, the security debate being so relevant, the PSOE is ready to agree with Bildu This is absolute nonsense. This will unprotect the police and the civil guard,” he added.

Azcón made these statements when presenting the 44 proposals he will make to Pedro Sánchez for the bilateral meeting on October 11. That’s to say, just a week before running for socialist leader. However, he also used his social media profiles to clearly express his opinion.

“This is another unprecedented and miserable transfer from Sánchez to his partners, heirs of the ETA terror, who blackmail him with the protection of our security forces. It’s disgusting. What Bildu seeks is to leave the police defenseless against violent individuals who try to disrupt public order and coexistence. Once again, Sánchez is selling out state institutions for the sole purpose of remaining in the chair,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

The Aragonese president too also filed a complaint against the Catalan quota. The Executive expressed its rejection in writing in the 108 pages it sent to Moncloa for next Friday’s meeting, in which Azcón will demand fair financing for Aragon and update the Teruel Investment Fund (Fite) to strengthen the fight against depopulation and promote the attractiveness of businesses.
