At the same time, according to the agency, the son-in-law of former US president Jared Kushner, who allegedly continued to communicate with Mohammed bin Salman on this issue even after Trump’s defeat in the 2020 elections, will participate in the meeting.
According to the information, even if the electoral race in the United States ends with the victory of the Democratic Party candidate, Kamala Harris, progress will be made towards the normalization of relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel. The agency’s interlocutors believe that in this case it may take longer to reach an agreement with Israel.
Saudi Arabia and Israel have long been trying to normalize their relations. But in 2023, after the escalation of the situation in the Middle East, this process stopped. In September 2024, Mohammed bin Salman said his country will not recognize Israel until an independent Palestinian state is established.
