Atlético expels two other ultras who threw objects at Courtois during the derby

He Atletico Madrid communicated that it had identified and definitively expelled two ultras involved in the derby incidents. With these two people, there are now three members of the red and white team that the club will expel due to the events that occurred during the match against the Real Madrid. According to the Madrid entity, the investigation opened by the club “continues its course” and “all members who participated in it” will be expelled.

Almost a week after the derby was marred by the temporary suspension of the match, due to objects being thrown at Thibaut Courtois, Atlético de Madrid announced that they have identified two other supporters and that they will be permanently expelled. Something that has already happened with the first of the ultras identified by the club. In a press release, they again condemn the “unjustifiable facts” which took place at the Metropolitano and which “They have seriously tarnished the image of the club.”

“The work of identifying people involved in the incidents of last Sunday’s derby, which our security service is carrying out in collaboration with the police, has made it possible location of two other people who participated in these altercations”, begins by emphasizing the club in its press release.

Concerning the two recognized fans, the entity emphasizes that “They are both members of the club” and that, therefore, “They will be expelled permanently”. They therefore remain in line with what happened with “the individual involved who was identified the same evening of the match”, who was also sent off by Atlético. “The investigation to identify more people involved continues and the club will proceed with the permanent expulsion of all members who participated in these incidents,” they continue.

Finally, the club expresses its “condemnation” of what happened during the derby against Real Madrid: “Atlético de Madrid reiterates its condemnation of these unjustifiable events, which have seriously damaged the club’s image, and reaffirms its policy of zero tolerance towards violencefor which it will continue to pursue any demonstration of this nature and to apply to those involved the sanctions provided for in our internal regulations.

Atlético expels two more ultras

The news comes two days later Competition committee sanction Atlético de Madrid with the closure for three matches of the stands in which Atlético Front is located, in the Metropolitan Stadium for the Madrid derby incidents. The body dependent on the RFEF has closed part of the stadium, a single stand – and not the entire field – for Atlético de Madrid’s next three matches in Spain.

So this position in which they always find themselves radical fans Atlético will be empty during Simeone’s team’s matches against Leganés (October 20), against Las Palmas (November 3) and against Alavés (November 23 or 24, date to be confirmed). Concretely, the resolution imposes on Atlético de Madrid “a sanction of partial closure of its sports complex for a period of three matches and a financial penalty of 45,000 euros”.
