Ferraz disavows Tudanca and suspends the primaries he was trying to speed up

The national leadership of the PSOE canceled the call for primaries decided by the Autonomous Committee of Castilla y León, the process of which was to begin with the presentation of the pre-candidates next Tuesday. It was eight thirty in the evening this Friday when the Secretary General of the PSCL, Luis Tudanca, responsible for the Congress calendar for which approval was given on Thursday, announced in a press release that Ferraz had made this decision after one day, on Friday , in which critics of the Burgos native denounced the “irregular and undemocratic” nature of convening a party renewal process so quickly and without notice.

Tudanca underlines in his writings that “I respect, even if I do not share, Ferraz’s decision, out of respect for this party that I love so much”, while appealing to his “commitment as secretary general to defend the voice of activism, which from Castilla y León, which today has been prevented from exercising by suspending the primaries.

He then defends that “the convocation was scrupulously statutory”, an assertion which he justifies by saying that “it was identical to that of the last congressional process and with identical deadlines to the convocation of the Federal Congress”. For this reason, he considers that the decision of the national leadership of his party “would render void all autonomous congresses held in 2021”.

Tudanca also justifies its commitment to advance the primaries in which the convocation “was approved with 81% votes for, 10% against and 9% abstention from the Autonomous Committee, the supreme body of the PSCL and competent for the convocation. “. He also criticizes that “its cancellation, in a resolution which is not even adopted by the entire competent body, recognizes that it is only a subjective interpretation and that nothing expressly prevents this summons in the regulations, asking the next Congress “to regulate it and, therefore, recognize that it is not the case.

“I never had any other ambition than to fight for Castilla y León and to defend socialist values. I am very proud of the support and affection that I have always received from PSCL activists. It is for this reason that I will also remain committed, wherever they decide, defending their will and an autonomous project”, adds Luis Tudanca. He concludes by displaying his wish that the Federal Secretary of Organization “summons in the as soon as possible the process of regional primaries, which he suspended”.
