Each June 27 International Day of the DeafDifferentiated disability, which requires special attention for those who suffer from this.
What is a dull stomach?
As the name implies, this is disability, which belongs to visual and auditory deficiency.
Given its gravity, the senses affected by the senses are compensated with each other, which is a “differentiated disability” with their own problems, barriers and specific requirements of support and inclusion.
There are two types of deaf connections:
- Congenital, which comes from viral diseases during pregnancy, such as meningitis or rubella. It can also appear after birth from an injury.
- Acquired. This is the most frequent and is called Acher’s syndrome, which is a combination of congenital deafness with pigmented retinitis. This can happen in adolescence, and over the years they go to complete blindness.
How do people communicate with deaf mobing?
Unable to see or listen, or do it only 10 percent of their capabilities, deaf people communicate through touch.
The most common methods are:
- Supported or tactile gestures. A man put his hands on a person who wants to communicate with her to feel the language of gestures.
- Writing in the palm of your hand. The message is written in the palm of the hand of the deaf man.
- Communication with devices. Smartphones or tablets can be used to display information in available formats.
- Braille system. You can use the technological device for help that converts the digital text to the brief symbols.
Professional guidelines for the translator are fundamental to people with this disability for access to information, communication, services and fundamental rights.
An important fact is that a cane with red and white stripes is used by people who cannot see or listen. This is a key tool for mobility and identification.
International Day of the Deaf
In 1989, the UN General Assembly announced on June 27 as an International Day of Deaf connections in order to execute the birth of the author Helen Adams Keller.
Keller was the first deaf man who managed to graduate from the university.
Among his most outstanding books is the history of my life, “Open door”, “Love this life: the words of encouragement in the face of disasters” and the world in which I live.
International day we strive to spread the existence of deaf people and increase awareness about the need to implement strategies that contribute to their integration into society.
