The European Union (EU) has decided to impose penalty duties on electric cars imported from China.

Brussels accuses Beijing of artificially lowering the prices of electric cars through government subsidies. In Europe they claim that this leads to unfair competition in global markets.

“China wants to flood the European and German markets with hugely subsidized electric cars, just as it did with steel and solar energy.
