THE Return to Peu de las Fallas of Valencia will result in the closure of streets and the rerouting of EMT lines this Sunday, October 6. This is the eighth and final test of the popular racing circuit’s 2024 calendar, which is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and which will be followed by races for children until 11:00 a.m. in the finish area, that is to say on the Town Hall square itself.
The start of the race will take place on Avenida del Marquis of Sotelothe road will therefore be closed from 6:00 a.m. for the start assembly. At 9:00 a.m. the race will start on Calle la Paz, Calle de San Vicente Mártir and Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
For the duration of the race, traffic from Bailén Street will be diverted to Pelayo Street, Quevedo, via the Guillem de Castro underpass.Angel Guimera and that of Petxina will deviate towards the Artes bridge and will not be able to continue along the right edge of the old channel of the Túria river. In addition, a lane will be provided for residual traffic in the central area of the Blanqueria section, from Pare d’Òrfens Street to Tetuán Square.
On the occasion of the celebration of the Volta a Peu de les Falles, the EMT has planned new routes, between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., to bring users closer to their destination. Citizens can use lines 6, 8, 9, 14, 19, 32, 35, 70, 71, 72 and 81 to reach the area around the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
