The Civil Guard arrested one person and investigated six others for membership in a criminal conspiracy dedicated to the trafficking and storage of weapons and ammunition.
The operation took place in the provinces of Jaén – where five searches were carried out -, Granada and Valencia. Specifically, Agents dismantled two clandestine weapons workshops in the municipality of Villanueva del Arzobispo (Jaén), seizing various firearms and numerous illegal parts. They also found more than 1,300 cartridges and half a kilo of black powder.
The people surveyed They are accused of crimes of storing ammunition, illegal possession of weapons and arms trafficking. and ammunition, storage of explosives and illegal manufacturing of weapons.
This operation was motivated by data obtained from the analysis of material and documentation involved in another operation that the Armed Institute operated last year and which resulted in the arrest of eight other people.
