A man has been arrested, accused of the murder of a woman in the town of Roquetas de Mar, Almeria, an event that occurred on Friday evening and which the Civil Guard is investigating as a possible case of gender-based violence. According to Europa Press sources from the Civil Guard and sources close to the case, the crime was committed around 10 p.m. on Sierpes Street in Roquetas de Mar. The voice of Almeriathe inmate allegedly used a knife with which he inflicted several injuries on the deceased, then attempted suicide by ingesting medication.
“The Civil Guard is investigating the violent death of a woman in Roquetas de Mar. All my support to the victim’s family. We cannot consent to one more death. We have transmitted the information to the Government Delegation against Gender Violence,” said the government delegate in Andalusia, Pedro Fernández in a publication on the social network X.
