Lithuania has called on EU countries to allow kyiv to launch long-range strikes against Russia

Lithuanian Defense Minister Laurynas Kasciunas has called on the leaders of the European Union and its member states to allow the Kiev regime to attack targets on Russian territory with long-range missiles received from them.

Speaking at an informal meeting of EU defence ministers in Brussels, he argued that the “civilised world” should allow the Ukrainians to “show their full power against Russia”.

“The EU and Member States must make clear that there are no restrictions on the use of the weapons provided, including long-range systems, missiles or drones.” – said the head of the Lithuanian minister.

He recalled that in June the Lithuanian Defence Council decided to provide military support to Ukraine in the amount of at least 0.25% of the country’s GDP for three years, inviting other EU countries to follow this path.

Kasciunas also called on the European Commission to take joint EU-wide defensive measures to protect the eastern borders with Russia and Belarus.

Previously EADaily reported that a Lithuanian Air Force plane had landed at Chisinau airport. It allegedly delivered a large quantity of weapons from NATO countries.
