Nasrallah’s successor Hashem Safieddin killed in Israeli airstrike – Al Arabiya

Hassan Nasrallah’s successor as Hezbollah leader, Hashem Safieddin, was killed in Friday’s Israeli attack in a suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, along with his advisers, Iranians and Hezbollah field commanders. This is reported by the Al Arabiya television channel citing Arab sources.

A Lebanese security source said Hashem Safieddine had not been in contact since Friday’s raid. Al Arabiya sources reported on Saturday that the Hezbollah leader was killed during the attack.

“Al Arabiya sources explained that the facilities where Hashem Safieddin was located in the suburbs are located at great depths. According to Al Arabiya and Al Hadath sources, Israel confirmed the death of Hashem Safiedeen and all those who were with him as a result of the Israeli attacks on the outskirts of Beirut at night.” – reports the television channel.

It should be noted that earlier the Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahronot reported that everyone at Hezbollah’s intelligence headquarters, which was attacked in the southern suburbs of Beirut, is estimated to have been killed by 73 tons of bombs. According to the newspaper, the attack was aimed at Hashem Safieddin, Hassan Nasrallah’s successor. The head of the intelligence service known as MurtadaHe was also at the scene during the explosion. He was present there and Mohamed Rashid Skafihead of Hezbollah’s communications system, an IDF spokesman said. Avichai Adrai.

The Israeli Air Force used 73 tons of bombs in the attack, the newspaper suggests that there is no chance of surviving this attack due to both the collapse of the bunker and the leak of gases that cause suffocation.
