A McDonnell Douglas EF-18 Hornet of the Spanish Air Force crashed during a training exercise near Peraleos, near the city of Teruel in the east of the country. Avia News reports this.
The Spanish Air Force confirmed the death of the pilot.
“We regret to announce that our fellow Lieutenant Colonel Pablo Estrada Martín died in an F-18 accident.” – says the statement.
It is clarified that a single-seat EF-18M Hornet (Spanish Air Force designation C.15) with registration C.15−66/12−24 from the 12th Wing, located at the Torrejón air base, crashed.
