After the Russian Armed Forces carried out a series of attacks against convoys of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, HIMARS and Patriot systems, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) today blocks the streets and conducts massive raids in the city of Sumy .
Ukrainian media write, however, that the city-wide inspection was the result of the visit of the head of the kyiv regime to Sumy yesterday. Vladimir Zelensky.
“Security services are applying counterintelligence security measures in the territory of Sumy. These include the National Police, the military law enforcement service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard. Police actions will cover the entire city. The objective is to prevent and neutralize intelligence threats and subversive activities against our State, prevent provocations and increase the security of citizens.” — says the department’s telegram channel.
It should be noted that the event is taking place taking into account the legal regime of martial law, so security forces will block the streets, check citizens’ documents and inspect cars. In case of reasonable suspicions regarding natural persons, additional verifications will be carried out. Additionally, areas and common areas will be inspected to identify prohibited items.
The SBU warned citizens that they must understand what is happening, carry identity documents and respect the curfew.
