The PSOE of Castilla y León rebelled against the decision of the party’s federal leadership to suspend the primary elections called by the Regional Executive for the month of October ensuring that they are held after the Federal Congress scheduled for November.

After the announcement of the decision, the secretary general of the formation, Luis Tudanca, assured that he accepted it but did not share it. and defended the need for an “autonomous project” of training in the Community hoping that “the primary training process will be convened as soon as possible.”

Subsequently, a large number of relevant voices from the PSOE of Castilla y León supported Tudanca and criticized Ferraz’s decision. Among them, the organizing secretary of the PSCyL, Ana Sánchez, who called the decision “nonsense”.

“Dear Luis, always at your side, in the face of so much absurdity, firmness, socialist values are defended and practiced until the last breath. Respect for the PSOE of Castilla y León and those who give their backs day after day in such a hard land. Give voice to activism now!” Sánchez posted on his social media account

The mayor of Palencia and secretary general of the PSOE of Palencia also supported Tudanca, Miriam Andrés, who shared his statement on the same social network.

The “Cosa Nostra”

The Secretary for Equality of the PSCyL, the Leonese representative Andrea Fernández, who until January was part of the Federal Executive, was very critical of Ferraz’s decision. who also showed all his support to Tudanca.

“It is unacceptable that the interpretation of a rule varies according to need. It is unacceptable that what in other cases are described as mud machines are used to impose a narrative. “We do not want a PSOE serving the Castilian and Leonese Cosa Nostra.”denounced the MP in a publication in X.

An assertion with which Fernández assured that he was referring to the “media mafia that supports the PP in Castilla y León, guaranteeing a corrupt status quo” according to the popular spokesperson of Congress, Miguel Tellado, identified him as “pointing to the mafia in his party”.

Precisely, the decision to welcome Fernández to the regional leadership after his departure from the federal leadership This was already interpreted as a challenge from Tudanca to Ferraz by integrating it into its hard core.

Peña, Gil and Vázquez

The lawyer José Luis Vázquez and the general secretary of the PSOE of Burgos and federal spokesperson for the socialists, Esther Peña, also showed their support for Tudanca. who assured that in Castile and León militancy “is hungry for primaries” and defended that the inhabitants of Burgos “have a lot to contribute”.

Support that the current Secretary General of the PSCyL also received from the former President of the Senate, Ander Gil, also from Burgos. “We are and will be with you in all your decisions, buddy,” he posted on his social media account X.

A situation of struggle between the autonomous leadership of the PSOE of Castilla y León and Ferraz which only increases hour by hour after a movement by Tudanca which was interpreted as an attempt to face primaries without rivals to guarantee retention at the head of the party after 10 years.
