Burkina Faso has decided to cancel gold mining permits for foreign companies.

Thus, the interim leader of Burkina Faso, Ibrahim Traore, announced his decision to focus his efforts on extracting this precious metal on his own.
“We know how to mine our own gold and I don’t understand why we allow multinational corporations to do it,” he said.
At the same time, Traore did not specify which permits would be revoked and did not reveal the details of the announced plan.
