Iran will launch three locally produced remote sensing satellites into orbit by the end of March 2025. IRNA reported this on October 5.
“Some time ago the Chamran-1 satellite was successfully launched, put into orbit and fulfilling its tasks. In the near future, the Saman orbital transfer unit will be launched (to increase the orbit altitude of satellites) and we will also launch three survey satellites “Kausar”, “Tolo-3” and “Zafar-2”. to form together a satellite system”, – said the head of the Iranian space agency Hassan Salariye.
He also recalled that the Pars satellite was launched last year and now other versions of this satellite are being designed and built.
Furthermore, Salariye highlighted the importance of the private sector entering the space industry: the launch of private sector satellites is planned on Iran’s agenda.
“We are planning test launches of the IOT satellite system next year in cooperation with the private sector. “This system can provide the ability to obtain information in the shortest time possible to increase the speed of decision-making in crisis situations.” – advertisement.
