Israel bombs southern Beirut suburbs again

The Israeli Air Force returned to bomb the southern neighborhoods of Beirut this Saturday evening, considered a stronghold of Hezbollah, as part of the military offensive against the Shiite militia party.

The Israeli army ordered evacuation of the area ten minutes before the first attackin the neighborhoods of Haret Hreik, Chuifat and Amrusiyé, according to the Lebanese newspaper ‘L’Orient-Le Jour’.

The Israeli army’s Arab spokesman, Avichay Adraee, said an attack had been carried out two buildings, one near the Heliópolis School and the National University of Chuifat and the other near the mosque of Mojtaba.

Another explosion was heard in Sfeir, near Hadath, and a few seconds later, a new explosion took place in Burj el Brajné. In the case of during the first explosion, there was no prior warning, reports Lebanese television Al Manar, affiliated with Hezbollah.

The Israeli warning urged the population to stay at least 500 meters from the attacked sites, as during previous attacks by Israeli aircraft in Beirut, concentrated in the Dahiyé district.

For their part, the Israeli Defense Forces recorded this Saturday approximately 130 projects triggered by Hezbollah which crossed from Lebanon to Israeli territory. The Shiite Hezbollah militia launched rockets against towns in northern Israel in a new day of clashes.
