Two maritime rescue vessels, the Salvamar Al Nair and the Salvamar Izar, This Saturday, they rescued around a hundred people who were sailing in two canoes located east of Lanzarote and south of Fuerteventura, as reported by emergency services.
Salvamar Al Nair maritime rescue rescued around fifty people of sub-Saharan origin who were sailing in a canoe east of Arrecife, the capital of Lanzarote. The precarious boat in which these people were traveling was spotted 34 kilometers from the coast.
The crew of the Al Nair was responsible for rescuing them and disembarking them at Puerto Naos after 6:30 p.m. In addition, another boat with 43 people on board was rescued 16 kilometers south of Fuerteventura by Salvamar Izar.
The members of this second expedition were disembarked at Gran Tarajal after 7:10 p.m.
