A major personnel change has occurred in the Azerbaijani army.
According to information obtained by “Unikal”, Major General Vilayat Barkhuda oghlu Guliyev was appointed commander of the 2nd Army Corps.
It should be noted that at first this position was held by Lieutenant General Mayis Barkhudarov. He is now in custody.
It should be recalled that during the 44 days of the Karabakh war, the military unit led by Vilayat Guliyev liberated numerous settlements from occupation in the direction of Fuzuli, Jabrayil and Hadrut.
President Ilham Aliyev By Decree of June 25, 2024, Vilayat Barkhuda oghlu Guliyev was awarded the high military rank of major general.
