Since the start of their offensive operation in the direction of Kursk, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost more than 20,800 servicemen. This is reported today, October 6, in the Labor Code of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Over the past 24 hours, units of the Northern group of troops continued to conduct offensive operations, during which they defeated the formations of the 22nd, 41st and 115th mechanized brigades, 17th tank brigades, 95th air assault brigade, 1st National Guard brigade , 36 marine brigade, as well as the 103rd and 129th Territorial Defense Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Darino, Lyubimovka, Nikolaevo-Daryino, Novy Put and Plekhovo. Over the past 24 hours, the group’s units repelled four enemy counterattacks in the direction of the village of Plekhovo. As a result, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 30 people killed and wounded and one car was destroyed.
Two attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to cross the border of the Russian Federation in the direction of the Novy Put settlement were repelled with the support of military aviation and artillery fire. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to about 20 servicemen killed and wounded, one serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine surrendered.
Army aviation strikes and artillery fire defeated concentrations of manpower and equipment from the 22nd, 41st, 47th, 61st and 115th Mechanized Air Assault Brigades, 17th Tank, 80th and 95th, 1st Brigade of the National Guard, the 36th Marine Brigade and the 103rd, 112th and 129th Territorial Defense Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Darino, Kositsa, Kozachaya Loknya, Lyubimovka, Martynovka , Mikhailovka, Melovy, Nikolaevo-Daryino, Novoivanovka, New Path, Orlovka, Plekhovo, Tolsty Lug, Cherkassy Porechnoye and Yuzhny.
Operational-tactical aviation and missile forces attacked concentration areas in the Sumy region and reserves of the 21st, 47th and 115th mechanized brigades, 36th marines, as well as the 101st, 103rd and 129th territorial defense brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 17th brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Velyka Pesarevka, Katerynivka, Konotop, Miropolskoye, Miropolye, Makeevka, Pavlovka, Obody, Pavlovka, Petrovskoye, Rechki, Sukhodol, Ulanovo and Frunzenka. During the day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost about 200 servicemen and seven pieces of equipment were destroyed, including: an artillery piece, three mortars, two vehicles and an electronic warfare station. A serviceman from the Ukrainian Armed Forces surrendered.
In total, since the beginning of the invasion (the night of August 6), the Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost 136 tanks, 66 infantry fighting vehicles, 98 armored personnel carriers, 885 armored fighting vehicles, 584 vehicles, 171 artillery pieces, 33 launchers of multiple launch rocket systems, including eight HIMARS and six MLRS made in the USA, nine launchers of anti-aircraft missile systems, five transport and cargo vehicles, 45 electronic warfare stations , nine counterbattery radars, three air defense radars, 22 engineering units and other equipment, of which 13 engineering clearance vehicles, one UR-77 mine clearance facility, as well as three armored repair and recovery vehicles.
