Her 2023 year was so successful that we expected great things from her in 2024. But French golfer Céline Boutier had a hard time confirming it before winning her first tournament in a year, this Sunday, October 6: the Aramco Team Series, in Shenzhen (China ).
Another Habs, Pauline Roussin-Bouchard, finished third in this Chinese leg of the Ladies European Tour.
Céline Boutier, 30, battled for three rounds with China’s Lin Xiyu, finishing ahead of the bronze medalist at the Paris Olympics with a final card of 66 and a total of −19 under par (−17 for Xiyu ). Roussin-Bouchard and Switzerland’s Chiara Tamburlini finished tied for third place (-16).
Céline Boutier’s last victory, now 12my world, dates back to October 2023 in Malaysia during the LPGA Maybank Championship. In 2023, the Frenchwoman notably won the prestigious Evian Championship, one of the Grand Slam tournaments on the women’s circuit.
