The Netherlands supplied Ukraine with the first batch of F-16 fighters. This was stated by the head of the country’s Ministry of Defense, Rubén Brekelmans.
These are the first of the 24 fighters promised by Amsterdam, the rest will be shipped in the coming months.
“For the first time, I can officially declare that the first Dutch F-16s have been delivered to Ukraine… The rest of the 24 aircraft will be delivered in the coming months.” – H. Brekelmans wrote on the social network, quoted by RIA Novosti.
Today the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands announced his visit to kyiv and Kharkov.

“The F-16 era is over for the Air Force, but not for the F-16. Of the devices that have not been sold or scrapped for years, 14 of the promised 18 are now in Romania. And the Netherlands is donating the last F-16s to Ukraine to fight the Russians,” the department said in a statement, quoted by Strana.
