The ruling Shiite movement in northern Yemen, Ansar Allah (Houthis), has fired more than 1,000 missiles and drones at Israeli targets and ships linked to Israel, the United States and Britain in one year, it said Sunday in a speech to commemorate the First Anniversary of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood in the Gaza Strip by Palestinians in Israel, Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi.
“During the year, the Ansar Allah movement organized attacks on Israeli targets with more than a thousand missiles and drones, attacking 193 ships associated with Israel, the United States and the United Kingdom.” – said al-Houthi.
At the same time, according to him, Yemen during this time suffered “774 air and sea attacks, as a result of which 82 people were killed and 340 injured.”
As the leader of Ansar Allah assured, the movement’s position regarding support for the Palestinians and Lebanese will remain unchanged, no matter how great the losses.
On October 7, 2023, Israel came under an unprecedented rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. After this, Hamas militants entered the border areas, killing soldiers and civilians and taking more than 200 hostages. According to authorities, around 1.2 thousand people died.
The Israel Defense Forces launched Operation Iron Swords in the Gaza Strip, which included strikes against civilian targets. Israel announced a complete blockade of the enclave: supplies of water, electricity, fuel, food and medicine were cut off. The death toll in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 exceeded 41.8 thousand people and more than 97.1 thousand were injured.
