Iran will sue the United States – Oxu.az

The people of Iran are preparing to file a lawsuit against the United States on Nov. 3 for failing to honor some clauses in the 1981 Algerian accords regarding the return of national wealth exported by the Shah and his supporters.

Oku.Az Referring to TASS, this was reported by the president of the organizing committee of the Day Against Oppression (November 4, 1979, when supporters of the Islamic Revolution took over the US embassy in Tehran), Mohammad Reza Naqdi.

According to him, on Anti-Oppression Day it is planned to present to the public a documentary that will familiarize the new generation with the crimes of the United States.

It should be noted that the Algiers Agreement was signed between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States on January 19, 1981. According to this agreement, Tehran released all the hostages taken during the seizure of the American diplomatic mission and undertook to settle the Iran’s foreign debt to the United States. Washington has promised to lift trade sanctions against the Islamic Republic, open bank accounts abroad and not interfere in Iran’s internal affairs.
