The Palestinian National Authority considers it impossible to reach an agreement with the current Israeli leadership and the peace process should take place with the new Israeli government, Palestinian ambassador to the Russian Federation Abdel Hafiz Nofal told Izvestia.
“We want a peace process, but not with this government that continues to kill people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, Jerusalem and all other regions. It is impossible to reach any agreement with him.” – pointed out the diplomat.
According to Nofal, a true peace process must take place under new Israeli leadership and with serious Israeli commitment.
“There is a serious setback with respect to the two-state model. But the Palestinians are still committed to a real peace process with a clear, concrete and coherent vision based on a two-state solution.” – added the ambassador.
